Outfit post : Spotty Chambray

chambraydot1 chambraydot2 chambraydot3

Before you read further, I just want to point out that my socks are cute and have lightning bolts on them.

What I’m wearing : ASOS Chambray Spot Print Dress (it’s my new fave of faves item), lightning bolt ankle socks, boohoo flatforms, Witchery belt & Rayban Wayfarers.

Sidenote: I’m not wearing my sunnies to try be cool, I’d started work at 5 AM, only got home after 4 PM, and couldn’t be bothered putting makeup on, but needed to take pics before it went dark, but looked like shit…so I slapped on some bright lippy and some sunnies to hide behind. The End.

models in boohoo + a big ass cake

boomodels5boocake1boomodel1boomodels3boosign

What’s a one year anniversary celebration without some hot models and a big ass cake, right? With boohoo now being the 4th most visited fashion site in Oz & NZ, selling six dresses every minute, I can see why the peeps at boohoo, including its founders Carol and Mahmud, were all down to par-tay for our last night in Sydney. Mix a bunch of kiwis, ozzies and guys and gals from the UK, and a big night will mos def be had. But, conveniently, what goes on tour, stays on tour… shout outs to Courtney from Always, Sometimes, Anytime tho, you’re the man.

But before dancing til the wee hours, we were able to admire pieces from the boohoo ‘Boutique’ and ‘Future Sports’ ranges (due out around July/August) on some stunning models. The Future Sports pieces were some of my faves from the showroom and it was even better seeing them worn IRL. My love for the neon-pink leopard print ensemble grew even more. I’d somewhat overlooked the ‘Boutique’ range at the showing, the collection being darker and a bit more serious, but the dresses got my attention that night. Plus, I’m a sucker for wearing socks with heels, and flower crowns, so that put it over the edge for me. More fash & food pics after the jump xx

Collette Dinnigan new eyewear collection & giveaway !!

collette_dinnigan_1

from the ‘Carnivale’ collection

Being a four-eyes myself, I’m excited to be able to give away a voucher for two pairs of glasses from the Collette Dinnigan for Specsavers eyewear collection to one of you lucky readers! I remember being a little bummed when I first found out I needed glasses, but that feeling only lasted until I started trying on frames, and from then on it was all excitement about the new fashionable addition to my wardrobe. So of course, when I was contacted about Collette Dinnigan’s new eyewear range, I had to have a play around with the collection. I got my fellow specs-wearer Shirl to join in on the fun, with the always amazing Abbie Gardiner doing our make-up.

The range is made up of three distinct styles, romance, decadence & carnivale. To be in to win the two pairs of glasses, just comment in the comments section (with your correct email address in the email form – your email won’t be made public 🙂) what your fave of the three styles from the range is (check out the full range & styles here) – as you’ll see from the frames we chose, Shirl and I were quite partial to the ‘decadence’ styles.

boohoo #globalstyler : 90s steeze

boohoo90s1

For my second look as part of the boohoo #globalstyler campaign, I chose to have a bit of fun with 90s style. The trends that always strongly stuck in my mind from that decade are crop-tops and bum-bags. Had to give a shout-out to stonewash, mid-waisted denim too.  The gold chain is probably my fave thing from the whole shoot, it goes so well with the turtle neck & y’all already know how much I love camo jackets. My hair and make-up was inspired by this hot pic of Cindy Crawford.

I hope this inspires more crop-top & bum-bag wearing.

Hey, look it’s me, a Boohoo #GlobalStyler

urbanexplorer2

w00p w00p! I’m so glad I can finally tell you guys about the lil project I did with boohoo for their very cool #GlobalStyler promotion.

Basically, boohoo are giving away the trip of a lifetime, and all you have to do is snap yourself wearing boohoo in your city, holding this nifty speech bubble and upload it to instagram with the hashtag #globalstyler to be in to win. So, go on with your bad selves and get your boohoo selfies on.

To get the competition kicked off, I’m one of a few bloggers from around the globe (I’m international, baby) that has been asked to style three looks based on their key Autumn/Winter 2013 trends. My first look is my take on the ‘urban explorer’ trend :
